Back by popular demand, we are going to get a group of guys together who want to play some Whirlyball at the brand new Chicago location on Saturday, January 10 @ 8:45PM. This event will be exclusively for DADS ONLY, meaning no kids and no women allowed! But you are more than welcome to bring another dad friend or two if you'd like.
Prepaid cost will be $30 per person for 60 minutes of play, based on minimum of 10 players. After we get 10 guys to commit, I will then sign the contract and pay the deposit to reserve the court and then provide a link so everyone can get me their prepaid fee of $30 per person.
We are going to set the start time for 8:45PM where we will check-in, meet our referee, learn the rules of the game before our Whirlyball court rental begins at nine o'clock. This new facility is located just West of the intersection of Elston & Webster and a short two block walk from the Metra Clybourn Train Station. Not sure what the parking situationis like, but I do know that there is a nearby parking garage between the Best Buy & Kohls stores that might be an option. Another parking suggestion would be to check out the "SpotHero" app, to guarantee a spot at one of the nearby paid lots.
What is WhirlyBall you ask? WhirlyBall combines lacrosse, hockey and basketball with bumper cars in a game of skill, chance, honor and vengeance. WhirlyBall has caused great athletes of every stripe to laugh and holler their way to a crushing defeat. If you choose to accept the challenge, you'll use hand-held scoops to propel whiffle balls at your scoring target. In a team of five, and with the help of a referee, you'll have a bang-up time trying to outscore the competition. There are two ways to acquire points. One is by making the shot, which is good for two points, three points from half court. The second is by acquiring penalty points assessed against the opposing team. In all cases, penalty points are awarded to the team not guilty of committing the penalty. Play does not stop. Referee officiates from a mezzanine above the court and will keep score including calling all penalties.

Since I have already used my own personal funds to secure this rental, I am asking if everyone else would please help me out and make your payment by no later than 5pm, Friday, January 2 so I can get the funds deposited into my account by the day of the event (its usually takes 5-7 days for funding).
