Sunset Kayak in Montrose Harbor

Arrive about 1:30-2:30 or whenever you feel like it ! Depends on traffic, and parking, look for Jeff on the beach tanning or playing in the water !! ;-))

Bring your own food and drink, picnic, play on the beach and Volleyball all day !

At about 5:45 we will gather at the Kayaks and launch the group out to the lake. Take a guided escort tour a bit and then about 8:10 at Sunset head back in for hopefully wonderful Sunset view.

It is on ! Head down Montrose, cross 41 and find the Sailboats at the harbor, then head slightly north up the beach about 100 yards to long blue and white concession building. Kayak Chicago check in is at south end of building. Tell them you are with Jeff's Meetup Group, take care of all paperwork and payment, then head to beach volleyball area.

Who ever gets there first, grab a Volleyball net area for us.

Montrose Beach

Located on the southeast corner of Montrose Beach next to the beach house, in front of the volleyball courts. Exit Montrose ave. off Lake Shore Drive, or take the bike path. We are on the beach, not in the Harbor next to blue and white beach house.

Do not miss, last Sunset Trip was AWESOME ! Everyone had great time, easy enough for beginners with instruction given , guides will take us out .

*** Yes, beach may be crowded from Air show slightly south, but that ends at 3 pm.

Anyone can learn to Kayak on this trip. You can bring your own kayak, but you will have to haul it in - :-) and must have life jacket and boat sticker.
