What we’re about
Inspired by the fictional Jedi in Star Wars, we strive to emulate the path of the Jedi in our real lives. We're not just Star Wars fans, but people who see a core of truth in its philosophy that is worth bringing into the world. Our meetings are for the purpose of training (i.e. martial arts, meditation, energy, philosophy, and other topics), building community. and performing acts of charity.

See all- WALK MS Oak Lawn 2025 CHICAGO JEDI walk in support to find the cureHarold L. Richards High School, Oak Lawn, IL
For several years, Chicago Jedi have supported WALK MS in the fight to help find cures for Multiple Sclerosis. This year we are participating in both the Chicago and Oak Lawn WALK MS events. Chicago on April 27th, and Oak Lawn on May 4th.
There are four ways you can participate in this event and help Chicago Jedi fight against Multiple Sclerosis: Cheer! Walk! Fundraise! Donate! We hope you will pick at least one, but we encourage you to do all four. If you are participating in any one of these four ways, RSVP here AND ALSO go to our Chicago Jedi WALK MS team pages to join the walk at

CHEER: You can help bring attention to the problems of MS by just showing up to cheer on all the walkers, whether they are Jedi or not. We may even be able to arrange a ride for you if needed. Sign up on the Team webpage as a walker even if you're just planning to cheer.WALK: If you plan to do the walk and you have a Jedi outfit, please wear it! If you don't have a Jedi outfit, wear your Chicago Jedi T-shirt, or perhaps you can wear a shirt with your favorite Star Wars character, or just something comfortable for the day. Make sure to wear shoes that are good for a 3-mile walk, even if they don't go so well with your outfit. We may even be able to arrange a ride for you if needed. Also, please invite other friends and family members to join us. No fee or donation is required, but even better would be if you could donate some money and/or raise money from friends and family.
FUNDRAISE: Even if you will not be able to join to cheer or walk, you can still raise funds. Join the team and register as a "virtual walker" at the link above. I know it's uncomfortable to ask family, friends and colleagues to donate, but it's for a great cause. Even small donations, like $5, can make a big difference when those small amounts get pooled together with other donations. E-mail everyone you know and tell them that you are trying to raise money for MS. Post it on Facebook. Put a note on the bulletin board at work. Check with your boss to see if the company does matching donations. You can send them all to your personal page or our team page so they can donate by credit card or PayPal.
DONATE: If you are not registering as a walker or a fundraiser, you can still donate to our team page, linked above. You can also mail a check to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, 525 West Monroe St., Suite 900, Chicago, IL 60661. Please note the team name, Chicago Jedi, in the memo portion of the check so that your donation will count toward our fundraising goal. Make sure to ask your workplace if they match donations.
Even if you won't be walking with us, if you are donating or fundraising go ahead and RSVP, "Yes," to this meetup, but let us know you are participating by donating or fundraising as a virtual walker.
Following the Walk, we can gather for brunch at Jedi's Garden Restaurant, located at,
