Topic: How do you evaluate and manage features in order to launch great products?
There is always a challenge when developing software, services, and hardware products: determine which items from a feature list make it into the initial product launch and which wait until next generation products. Choosing too many features can result in an overly burdened product that takes more time and money to launch. Choosing too few can result in a less valuable product. Managing the list in order to find the ideal feature set is critical in launching great products.
This month we will share our own stories about how to manage scope creep, time to market, client expectations, product complexity, and other factors critical to a successful product launch.
Thank you to one of our Meetup members, Heidi, for suggesting this month’s topic.
The Breakfast Club, meets the first Friday of every month, is an informal gathering of people interested in talking/learning about product development and networking with other product development professionals. You do not need to be a registered member of the PDMA to join us and there is no cost. Just RSVP and show up to join the conversation. Stop by anytime.
