The 3rd Annual Chicago Veggie Pride Parade

Thank you, everyone, who joined us last year (Chicago Veggie Pride Parade 2013)! It was a great event.

Be a part of history - Join the Third Annual Chicago Veggie Pride Parade (CVPP 2014)!

Parade with us to celebrate the Healthy Vegan/Vegetarian Lifestyle! Featuring guest speakers, a costume contest, and tons of fun, the Chicago Veggie Pride Parade (CVPP) will be a wonderful all-encompassing event to support local vegans and vegetarians, as well as to raise awareness in the general public about the benefits of a plant-based diet. We encourage everyone, vegans or not, to come and walk, socialize, learn, and of course celebrate the Veg lifestyle with us!

We welcome all supporters of a plant-based diet in the greater Chicago area (and in the entire Midwest) who would like to give or receive support in their choices, whether they are based on Ethical, Environmental, Health or Spiritual reasons. The mission of the parade is to unify the voices of everyone who sees an advantage to a plant-based diet and wishes to share and promote it. This unified voice will help to make a stronger impact  on promoting a plant-based diet and  will bring public attention to the global importance of our food choices. Let us all unite and inspire others to join us!

Please visit the official CVPP website at Chicago.VeggiePride.com for additional info.

Important Legal Notice: The Chicago Park District requires CVPP participants to read and sign the event participant waiver:  CVPP_Participant_Waiver. After you click the RSVP button you will be prompted to write your name serving as your electronic signature that you acknowledge and agree with the waiver.  The pre-registration by RSVPing on this page will expedite your on-site registration.

Important Time Consideration: While the parading will start at noon, all participants MUST register on-site before participating in the parade. We expect a lot of people at the event so please come at 11 AM or earlier to have enough time to register before the beginning of the parade at noon. For the complete time table of the event click here.

Are you willing to help? For the CVPP Readiness Check-off Board and how you can help click here.

For carpooling arrangements click here.

We look forward to seeing everyone at the event!

Such a wonderful event yesterday! Organized, well attended, great speakers, great energy, and amazing weather! It renewed my commitment to BE VEGAN, and heartwarming to know this choice is made by many for the welfare of animals.

What a great idea! Looking forward to meeting you all. I am bringing someone, do I need to register separately? Thanks!

Hena - You can not register for someone. Your guest may just come to the event and sign the participant waiver at the registration table on-site or s/he may RSVP here to sign electronically that will save time and paper during the on-site registration. Is it too late to sponsor this event? Edible Musings may want to provide a sponsorship donation.

So... All I need to do to officially be on the list us just RSVP on here correct? Also I see the waiver and I clicked the link but nothing happened. Is it because doing it from a mobile device or it went through? Thanks! :D

Nancy (and everyone) if you don't remember, you can simply click "Change" for your RSVP, choose Yes again, add your name if it's not there, and click "Finish RSVP". This is how it works on the website. I am not sure how it works with Meetup mobile app but I think similarly.

Thank you, Vadim. That worked perfectly.
