    Hi everyone,

Dan and I met last night for a planning session and we've refined the list of questions we will be asking everyone for the promo video. We've narrowed the focus to help this be a richer promo video, but feel free to have health-focused responses.

In case you'd like to prepare in advance, here's what we'll be asking:

    1. Why are you involved with the CVPP?
    2. What did you enjoy most about the 2012 parade?
    3. How can someone participate in the 2013? What are various volunteer/sponsor opportunities?
    4. What are you most excited about for CVPP 2013?

We are looking for brief, concise answers to the questions as well as a diverse collection of answers.

Looking forward to meeting you all tomorrow.

Emily - The actual questions may vary so please don't worry that you did not attend CVPP this year. Please come for the meetup anyway!

I'm confused - is Paul producing this video - do we reply to him? I'm not understanding how this is working. Has the venue or logistics changed, or is it still at Buckingham fountain?

I have nothing to do with the video lol. I was asked to be in it. My problem is that I don't want to be a poision pill but I think this concept is wayyy off base. I just had a great example of what I think is the right way, Gill Gilliono mentions a vegan cookoff event and says "It's going to be a blast". Now that's the way to tell people about an event. My final word is, I don't concider myself right really, but I'm just a different kind of a person I guess. No big deal.

Paul - Thank you for your input. We discussed the video during our Organizational meetings. You are welcome to participate in the meetings where we will discuss our next steps to assure success of CVPP 2013.
Regardless if I will be at the event or not (it's up in the air now) I am confident that the event hosts (LeoLin, Annette, and Dan) will do a great job there.

Hi, all. I'm part of the video team and for this video, we are sticking to the original plan of meeting at Buckingham Fountain on Sunday and highlighting the reasons people become Veg.

This is going to be a brief, warm, and welcoming video introducing viewers to members of the veg community, their personal reason for going veg -- we're hoping the emphasis on friendly community will encourage people to participate or attend in the VPP (which is, after all, a community event). Paul, you've got some interesting ideas -- I'm sure the CVPP committee would love if you wanted to put together another video showcasing your potluck scene.

Why is no one talking about this? It's coming up, Vadim won't be there which is rediculous, and I have no idea how I could contribute. Shouldn't there be some decisions made lol? The video is important.

The movie star is a woman of course and the end would flash the link to the website.

i had a vision of a video, I'll throw out there as an idea. there's a potluck and everybody knows it's for the video. People dress well or as an expression of who they are, the food is dolled up in their best plates or bowls with special attention to colors and stuff making all the dishes look especially good. The camera turns on...the guys are at a table as a kind of supporting actor backdrop, the women, one by one walk into the shot and fill the table with all the goodies and the movie star for 2012 says something like "All this delicious food is vegan, come join us for a celebration of healthy living, there will be free food samples, a parade, demonstrations ect. And we all say Thank you as a group. the end. Something like that anyway.

Isn't there just a couple reasons (for a 3 second sound bite) to go veggie...good for the planet...good for health? Do people really want to hear that? How about we all just bunch together like the wonderful people we are and ask the world to join us for a fun filled celebration of living green and make it look as appealling as possible...we dress well, smile, be happy, playful, welcoming.

If you get my gist, make it look like what most peolple want for themselves. People want to have fun, feel included, eat yummy stuff.

Two side notes. Vadim should be in the video and the other thing is a big secret....female sexuality sells like nothing else, interesting, attractive women will do more towards bringin in the crowds than anything else and there's an old saying in marketting 'bring the girls, the guys will come, girl's come when guys come'. I'm not being silly here, it's just a practical matter. What's the main idea her? Bigger crowd..good!

Yes, I thought of that as I posted my comment. All that planning stuff just wasn't me. It also occured to me my post might be misundestood as saying the video should be full of women in bikini's lol. I want to say ALL veggie women are attractive and interesting!

I imagine a video of happy people having fun, saying the cool stuff that will be there and presenting an idea that this parade is 'the place to be' for greenies who enjoy having a good time. Information is for lectures, parades are a celebration. Colors, sparkles, music, food, comraderie. But anyway, I just put this stuff out there as it comes to me, I expect to be wrong most of the time. Just flapping my lips as they say lol.
