Speaker Bio:

Eric D. Boyd is the Founder and CEO of responsiveX, a Windows Azure MVP, and a regular speaker at national conferences, regional code camps and local user groups. He is so passionate about apps and cloud services that he founded responsiveX (www.responsiveX.com (http://www.responsivex.com/)), a management and technology consultancy that helps customers create great web, mobile and client experiences, and these apps are often powered by cloud services. Eric launched his technology career almost two decades ago with a web development startup and has served in multiple roles since including developer, consultant, technology executive and business owner. You can find Eric blogging at http://www.EricDBoyd.com (http://www.ericdboyd.com/) and trying to fit thoughts into 140 characters or less at http://twitter.com/EricDBoyd .

Eric D. Boyd, the Founder and CEO of responsiveX, started his business career and formed his entrepreneurial spirit at a young age. In the mid-90′s, he founded his first tech company, a regional web development provider with customers in Missouri, Kansas, Arkansas and Oklahoma. Two years later, Eric was recruited as one of the original members of a high-growth, VC-backed dotcom in the heavy-duty truck industry. Once the dotcom boom became the dotcom bust, Eric co-founded a developer platform and tools company that created multiple products including a Microsoft-based Web CMS, an eCommerce platform and SWFSource, the industry leading Adobe Flash SDK.

At this point in his career, Eric took a detour from start-ups and joined a $300M international transportation and logistics company as a corporate technology executive. Over time, he became responsible for the entire company’s IT organization. But after some years passed, he began to miss the entrepreneurial culture from previous high-growth start-ups and companies, so in 2010, he joined Centare to launch two new initiatives, Centare’s second office in Chicago and a new consulting practice focused on Cloud Computing.

In March of 2012, Eric left Centare to launch a new management and technology consultancy, responsiveX. At responsiveX, Eric is combining his business, management and technology experience to build a team of consultants dedicated to helping others create great customer experiences via web, mobile, client and cloud technologies, while helping customers improve how they develop software through modern practices and agile techniques.
