Come join us and run the trails in Chicago and points South, West and North. We seek the softer surfaces, beautiful scenery and improved breathing that the mostly-wooded trail running here affords. We have about 30 trails in Chicagoland to choose from and we will run them all throughout the year.
Our goal is to schedule each week 2 to 3 runs of different distances. We want you to train at your pace and your distance and enjoy the camaraderie and resources this meetup provides. Our ABOUT section spells out all of our goals and inspiration.
If you've run on roads but not on trails yet, this is an excellent place to learn. Most of our local trails don't present technical challenges. Instead, they are great training grounds to make progress towards those challenges. If you can comfortably run 4-5 miles on roads then you are ready to take on the local trails with us. Again, please read our ABOUT section if you want to learn more about trail running.
I'm looking forward as I write this to meeting and running with you soon.

What members are saying
“ All paces are welcome; if there are any other really slow runners hesitant to join, don't worry! I am here and going at a trot, not a gallop + you'd be comfortable at the back with me. ”
“ It's fun to try some new trails and run with others. ”
