This group has been created for women who would like to get out and about and see more of what London has to offer - on a shoestring. Whether you've lived here all your life or only been in the big smoke for a short time, this group could be for you.

We have created this group to help other chicks in London make new friends. Perhaps you want to meet a fellow rock chick, fan of the cinema, a gym buddy or maybe you just want to widen your social circle. Our events are small to allow you to make new friends.

Our aim for the Explorettes (yes, this is a totally made up word) is to get together and have fun doing any of the following, while not spending too much money:

• Catching live music (there are some fab places around London that don't cost a penny to get in)
• Seeing exhibitions at any one of the brilliant galleries or museums (many only requiring a donation)
• Going to the movies
• Day trips out of London
• Dinner and drinks with fab food and fab company

...there's so much more to do in London than what we've mentioned above and we are always doing  research so that we can find some really interesting and fun things for 'us' to do.

* As you may be aware Meetup charges group organisers a monthly fee to run our groups and recommends that we charge members to cover these costs. Also there may be occasions when a booking fee is charged. Therefore we charge a small admin fee for each event.

* We keep our events small so everyone can get to know each other. As such we want those who want to attend to be able to do so. For this reason we have the following policy:

If an Explorette RSVPs as a 'Yes' and there is an Admin Fee payable you must pay when you RSVP.
If an Explorette RSVPs as a 'Yes' and then is a 'no show' twice - without letting the Group Organiser know through email or text within a few days of the event, she will be removed from the group without notification.

* If you are an inactive member for 6 months you will be removed from the members list and you will have to re-join -- if you're still interested in becoming an Explorette.
