China Hands are invited to meetup at WeWork Charging Bull on the 9th floor, in New York City's financial district, at 7pm on Thursday April 30th.

Joining us as our guest speaker is Maura Elizabeth Cunningham (https://www.ncuscr.org/about/staff/maura-elizabeth-cunningham/program-officer), currently the Program Officer at the National Committee on United States - China Relations. She will be speaking on "Women’s Rights Activism in China Today". In this talk, Maura will discuss this headline news story in the context of the past, present, and (possible) future of feminism in China. How has the state of women’s rights changed over the past century? What are Chinese feminists fighting for, and what obstacles do they face in their work? And how might the #FreeTheFive movement continue moving forward in the future?

We'll be providing good beers, drinks, and snacks, and we're thankful for your $10 meetup contribution towards the costs of staging New York's best China Hand networking community.
