Chinese, Chinese Americans, Asians, Asian Americans, Pacific Islanders and allies and friends of diverse backgrounds come together each month to connect with the rest of the community and share ideas: How can we be truly helpful as members and stakeholders of the Chinatown DC community? How can the Chinese/Asian Pacific/American community in the metropolitan area contribute to human, economic and community development in the community?
Please let us know if you are interested in helping to co-create new opportunities for cultural and educational exchanges and other revenue sharing projects. We would love to meet you and introduce you to other activists interested in helping to build a friendlier and happier local and global community!
This Friendship Archway Alliance networking event for everyone interested in Chinese and American culture, language, economics, politics, Chinatown D.C. as well as self-empowerment, personal, economic and community development topics. At these free monthly events there are opportunities to meet people interested in professional development, entrepreneurship, spirituality, singles, personal growth, Beijing-D.C. Sister City relationship and other topics. Look forward to exciting conversations for possibilities!
Throughout 2010, we plan to continue meeting on the 3rd Sundays of each month at the same time and place, 12:30PM to 2:30PM at the Burma Restaurant, 740 6th St. NW 2nd floor, DC 20001. Our events line is (202) 496 1555 ext. 2. If there are no announcement of circumstances beyond our control or any change, then you can assume that the monthly event is confirmed and we will see you at Burma Restaurant on the 3rd Sunday of each month at 12:30PM.
We invite all Chinese and people interested in Chinese topics and in Chinatown DC to join us to build a friendlier and happier future for all. Agenda: sit at the social networking, or business networking or spiritual networking tables for lunch or order soda first (self-pay). Then everyone will have an opportunity to introduce themselves to the group, then there is networking astnd discussions on topics of your interest.

Chinatown DC Cultural Development and Planning Forum (CCDS) is a joint project between The DC Mayor's Office on Asian and Pacific Islander Affairs and the Office of Planning that aims to provide strategies and build support to revitalize DC's Chinatown and position it as the region's top destination for Chinese/Asian cultural businesses, programs, services, events and festivals.
