This year Donna Binzer will be Chairing this event.
Thank you to those who have responded to help make turkeys, bring pies, and volunteer for the Annual Thanksgiving Dinner for the UC Newman Center Students! With less than two weeks to go, here are our needs:
Update as of Nov 13 from Donna:
Cooked Turkeys: Need 4-5 more
Pies: Need 10 more
Financial Contributions: Still needed
We have plenty of volunteers but still need help with the items above.
Where: St. Monica-St. George Cafeteria (Clifton)
When: Sunday, November 24, 6:30 PM
In the spirit of the Thanksgiving Holiday, this is an excellent opportunity for us to give back and provide a nice Holiday meal for the students of the Newman Center. We serve the meal after the 5:30 PM Mass at St. Monica-St. George Church. After the students have been fed, we as the volunteer crew then partake of the meal. This even only works with YOUR help and support. We are asking you to mark your calendars and kindly consider:
1) volunteering the day of the event to prepare/serve/clean
2) buying and preparing a turkey*
3) baking/buying pies/desserts
4) a financial contribution (a great alternative that helps make this event possible - please consider a making a donation)
If you are bringing a turkey, please include the drippings if you can. We will be using them for the gravy.
Checks for the financial donations can be made out to St. Monica-St. George. Cash is also accepted. If you can make a financial contribution, you can contact Donna at the email address below.
If you'd like to volunteer, or make a turkey, pie, or monetary donation please contact her directly at [masked].
