Local Vinyasa yoga Master Teacher Shannan Donovan presents Gotham Chopra's "Decoding Deepak" (2012). Journalist and filmmaker Gotham Chopra spends a year traveling the world decoding his father, Deepak Chopra, resolving the spiritual icon he is to the world vs. the real man known to his family.  What starts as an intimate biopic becomes a deeper plunge into the meaning of identity itself.  Not to be missed!

I enjoyed the beautiful venue that is the Church of the Incarnation; it was the perfect backdrop to the film's provocative subject of a son's perspective of his father and all the complexity that it entailed.

The discussion afterwards was perspective-based as was the film; it reminded me that we "see" the world through our own perceptions, based on our biology and the experiences gleaned through our senses. I enjoyed hearing the individual remarks....

All in all, it was delightful and I am still reviewing the film, an indication of a thoughtful experience.

"When we realize that our true Self is one of pure potentiality, we align with the power that manifests everything in the universe."

.....the son making a movie about his famous dad. All KINDS of potential there!

I would love to make it Saturday but I have guest arriving in town and have already made plans. Is there a place I can rent or view this film?

I don't know of any way to get a DVD. Amazon.com has digital downloads...I think it's something like $3.99 for a rental and $9.99 to purchase it. Hope you can find it...and let us know if you find a DVD somewhere! Thanks!

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
