04: Let's talk Security

Hello all Cisco Networkers!

This month's topic we will be covering will be SECURITY. For a change of pace, yours truly will be presenting this month's topic. A little background about myself, I have been in the IT indsutry for about 7 years now, have worked at several different companies as employee/consultant, and I have recently started teaching at training schools in the NY area. I currently hold some CompTIA certs (A+,Net+, Trainer+), Microsoft certs (MCDST, MCSA, MCSE), and of course -- the Ciscos (CCNA, CCNP, CCNA Voice, CCNA Security) working on my CCIP before it retires and aiming for CCIE Written by Q4 2012.

As you can tell from the photo on the left side of this page, I am also one of the organizers of Cisco Networkers!

We will be talking about some good design practice, some actual commands we can try out (so be sure to bring your laptop loaded with GNS3!) IPS, ASA, VPNs, and more!!
