Why Citizens without Borders?
There is an increasing blurring of boundaries that is enabling people everywhere to collaborate and share stories, ideas, information and skills across boundaries, across disciplines. This is happening both face to face and over the world wide web. Accelerated improvements in ICTs and other mobile technologies are contributing to increased sharing, creation and co-creation of ideas and creative endeavours that go beyond political and ideological boundaries.
However, while the world is opening up, it is also closing it's borders… millions of people are forced out of places or inhibited from becoming productive members of society - discrimination based on place of birth, on sexual orientation, ideology, skin colour, disability... These current patterns should be changed. However, change doesn't happen from the outside. At Citizens without Borders we strongly believe that we cannot make any type of lasting change in our world without first critically looking at ourselves.
Citizens without borders:
- Explore our boundless potential to tackle issues that hinder us from reaching our greater potential by taking a critical look at our own ideological hurdles
- Seek justice and creative solutions to our common issues
- Innovate to create activities and practices, organisations and businesses that systematically erase borders and boundaries
- Engage global citizens in civic action
- Nurture the capacity of people to go beyond the limits imposed by hindering beliefs, political borders, disciplines and categories, certain aspects of culture, and misconceptions deeply rooted in unquestioned religions, ideologies, and practices

This is a space for you who wants to for example, start a citizen science project or you who has an idea for an activity that transverses current practices or just wants to meet like minded people. What ever your drive is -frustration with the system, angry about discrimination, hope for an interconnected world- we want you to join us to engage in meaningful action!
