Explorer of the world: Playshop #2 - Observe, contemplate, wonder
Details
\o/ Missed it last week? Join us next Thursday 28th May! \o/
Close observation of a single subject, whether it is as tiny as Pasteur's microbes or as great a Einstein's universe, is the kind of work that happens less and less these days. Glued to computer and TV screens, we have forgotten how to look at the natural world, the original instructor on how to be curious about detail." - Jennifer New
Want to know how to be an explorer of the world? This is an invitation to a six-part series of playshops through which we will re-learn to engage with the world within and around us; we will observe and document the world as we've never seen it before and at the end of it, you will have your own collection containing your unique vision of the world. Most importantly, you will learn to understand and use the most crucial tool for exploration: you.
If you feel like engaging in a journey of exploration then RSVP and bring along with you a durable notebook and a pencil/pen.
In the first playshop (https://www.meetup.com/Citizens-without-Borders/events/222022493/) we tapped into our imagination, we tickled our curiousity manipulating and distorting our senses as well as beginning a cell culture. We started to grow together sharing our experiences. This was just the start.
In this second 2-2.5 hr playshop we will "find that everything is interesting"; we will engage in the art of observation as contemplation, and take a closer 'look' at how we make 'sense' of our observations. With this, we will create and share our own experiential 'spaces'.

The playshops build on each other, developing skills and trust in ourselves and others along the way. At the end of the series, you will receive a certificate of completion**.
