Hello,I am a midwifery student who is looking to observe births. The location of birth (home, hospital, etc.) does not matter, nor does the provider of care (certified professional midwife, certified nurse-midwife, or OB). All I am required to do is observe the birth. I am able to travel within northern NJ or NYC. The only concern I have is for those who will be having a hospital birth - hospitals and OBs often limit the number of people who can be in the room during the birth, so I ask that the woman check with the maternity ward, and her OB the maximum number of people allowed to attend the birth, and decide if there is room for me! If you, your spouse, relative, or friend is pregnant, due within the next four months, and would be willing and able to have me observe the birth, please contact me as soon as possible!Thank you!Christina Morreale[address removed]
