EmberJS Hands On

We've spent a bit of time on Angular and have touched based on EmberJS but now it's time to roll up our sleeves and get a little bit more hands on.

This month we are going to feature a talk on EmberJS and then spend the rest of the night working in a hands on session building a small "non-trivial" application in EmberJS. So, if you would like to learn about EmberJS and understand why and how you should use it, come on out!

The Venue

This month, we will be meeting in Independence at the wonderful offices of Level Seven Software. They have graciously allowed us to invade their space and provide some good eats so please make sure to thank them

The Cleveland JS meetup is a great place to hang if you want to sharpen your skills, ask gnarly coding questions, find development talent or promote your project. Got something to contribute - come down and hang with us!

OGD!!! I wish I could have made it. I was stuck at home trying to fix my damn car.

Good event. I definitely liked the git repo with the final branch with each step separated into commits so we could go through them at our own pace or afterwards. Gave a good view of what presumably are the basic things one works with on an Ember project.

Thanks for everyone who came out. I hope all it was helpful and we always appreciate feedback on what was helpful and what could be done different.

We also love to hear your ideas and if you have interesting businesses or side projects you are working on, please share!

I ordered an Espruino after last month's hack night. I just ordered everything I need to build a web server inside creepy cymbal monkey toy. I am hoping to create a Github webhook that will make him play for 10 seconds when we push new code to a repo. I would be happy to demo it if all goes as planned!

For those who missed it, the sample project in it's entirety can be located here -->

The readme has been updated to include the dependency of git

Hey everyone. Level Seven is up on the 7th floor, just turn left off the elevator and you can't miss us. Our lobby door locks at around 7pm so if anyone gets here late and can't get in call me - (216)[masked] and I'll swing downstairs to let you in.
