Data, Data, Data

Data, data, data. That's why we're here, right?

Riak is a fantastic choice for a database, but there's a cost: up front data modeling is vital. To take full advantage of Riak's performance and scalability, you need to think carefully about how data will be retrieved.

Basho engineer Alex Berghage will be commuting from Ann Arbor to hold a conversation around data modeling, denormalization, and the new data types arriving with Riak 2.0.

Regrettably, I have to be in Houston that day, but a much smarter co-worker of mine is able to step into the breach.

With the tech preview of Riak 2.0 out in the wild, there'll definitely be quite a bit to talk about. I hope everyone gets a chance to watch some of the RICON talks; thanks to Matt for promoting the live stream. Some amazing stuff in San Francisco this week.
