Alex Moore and John Daily will be in town to walk through a Riak hands-on session. We'll help you get a Riak instance fired up, run some basic operations, then write an application.
If you were at the last meetup with Alex Berghage, we'll be covering much of the same ground, but this time in code: indexing (both with and without the Riak 2i feature), data modeling, conflict resolution.
Bring a laptop and prepare to get your hands dirty. If you have Riak installed, great, otherwise we'll help get you up and running.
Note that Riak won't run in Windows, so if you have a Linux VM for your Windows laptop, that'll help, otherwise we can get you set up with a temporary EC2 instance.
