Couldn't make it Wednesday.
Will be there Monday.
For this occasion and only this group, I will give up my avoidance of IRC.
Enjoyed chatting with you other day Joe.

We have decided to give the chat room another go around. With that in mind I have set up a chat room on IRC on Freenode. The chat room is #web-meetup. I will be informing organizers from the other web meetups of the room, so that we can work collaboratively on our educational projects. I know a lot of yall stopped in last time, then would leave if we didn't respond. So this time around I'm askin' ya to be a bit patient, since I do not monitor the rooms constantly. But if you msg me, then I will respond as son as I am able.
If you are going to be someone that will be joining us in the chat, please respond to this msg so that others can know. A lot of times folks just do not come because they think others will not be there. So the way to encourage participation, is to let everyone know you will be there as well.
Additionally this will be a GREAT resource to
get more immediate questions answered to issues you are having that are web related. Or hell, even other tech support problems. Chat additionally provides a great way to network. We have our conference coming up soon, so that will be the topic a lot. But that's only about a month away. As I mentioned in another email, we have lots of other surprises coming soon. Those in the chat will get a heads up on these before everyone else.
To join download a compatible IRC Client for your operating system. Some examples include:
http://www.mirc.com For Windows
http://www.pidgin.im For Windows and GNU/Linux
http://www.mibbit.com/ Access from any web browser.
This chat resource will allow a lot of work to get done without all of us having to get together in person. I will be in there every day all day long. If my nick (aoirthoir) is not present, then it means I am in transit, but will return shortly. You may have to give some time before I respond since I will generally be working when I am online.
If anyone has any questions please respond to this email.
Kind regards yens,
Joseph James Frantz
