CSC Night at the Theatre - "Kiss Me, Kate" starring Carol Thompson

Several of you have expressed interest in seeing my wife Carol's production of the Cole Porter classic Kiss Me, Kate, so I am organizing a special CSC outing for closing night, Saturday March 9th.  If you want to see Carol get in touch with her inner bi-aaaatch , you won't want to miss this one.  LOL  As an added bonus, Kevin will be playing synth in the pit orchestra.

Please RSVP by March 1st on this one because I need to pre-order the tickets and the theatre barely seats 100.  Once our group has been determined, I'll poll everybody for a restaurant choice near the theatre in North Ridgeville or perhaps North Olmsted.

Synopsis of the musical:

Music and Lyrics by Cole Porter Book by Sam and Bella Spewack

Kiss Me Kate tells the tale of two once-married, now-divorced musical theater actors, Fred Graham and Lilli Vanessi, who are performing opposite each other in a Broadway-bound musical version of William Shakespeare's The Taming of the Shrew, in the roles of Petruchio and Katharina. Already on poor terms, the pair begin an all-out emotional war midperformance when Lilli discovers Fred sent his latest fling, Lois Lane, Lilli's wedding bouquet. (Lois plays the role of Bianca in "The Taming of the Shrew".)

The only thing keeping the show together are threats from a pair of gangsters: Lois's steady boyfriend (and the show's Lucentio), Bill Calhoun, loves to gamble, and to avoid the responsibility of paying his debts, has signed Fred's name to an I.O.U. Gangsters have come to collect on it, and this show will provide the money that Fred needs to avoid getting his fingers broken. In classic musical comedy fashion, madness ensues.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
