NOTE: I'll be out of the country for most of November, so we will only have one meetup in November...on Nov 7th. If the 5 RSVP slots for Noon on Nov 7th fill up and we get 3 or 4 people on the waiting list, I'll hold a second event on Nov 7th at 6pm for the waiting list people.

Clever Mojo Games is a tiny little home-grown game design company in Edmonds WA. We make family-friendly games and our first game, Ogre Castle, was self-published this past summer. Ogre Castle is listed on Board Game Geek with some very nice reviews. http://www.boardgamegeek.com/boardgame/44125![]()
We are trying to assemble a small group of play testers who can get together a couple of times a month, to play test the games we are currently working on. With your help we're hoping to find out what's good, what's broken, what can be saved, and what just needs to be trashed.
What can you expect at a CMG Play Test Event? Some confusion, some "Ah-ha!" moments, some laughs, some serious contemplation of game mechanics, and hopefully enough fun to make you want to keep coming back for more.
Each event will be dedicated to only one or two games and we'll run through those games two or three times each. Once to get you familiar with it, once to let you play for fun, and once to see if you can break it and find the bugs that need to be stomped.
Afterward there will be a little bit of a debriefing as we all sit and talk about the game, your experience playing it, and your ideas to make it better. And let me say that we do take play tester opinions seriously. The next time you attend an event you're likely to see that some of the play tester suggestions have already been incorporated and are ready to test out.
So, if you like learning new games that no one has ever heard of and you like getting your fingers into the fiddly-bits to see what happens when you adjust this rule or change that roll, then you'll probably have a good time as a Clever Mojo Play Tester.
We have lots of different games in the works...There's Ogre Castle, our already published "dungeon crawl" fantasy game; Oubliette, a maze game with lots of "gottcha" potential; Alien Frontiers, a euro-style game with resource management and a retro-scifi-future theme; and Hook Line & Sinker, a story-telling party game. There's even more games listed on our web site though not all of them are quite ready for play testing yet. http://www.clevermojogames.com
Oh, BTW, we don't charge for our events and we don't pay you for play testing our games, but we do provide drinks and snacks and pizza and maybe even some free swag if CafePress is running a special.
So, are you ready to sign up yet? Come on, click the button and introduce yourself.
This play test event will be dedicated to:
ALIEN FRONTIERS
As part of competing fleets charged with colonizing and controlling the new world, your job is not going to be an easy one. You'll need to use the resources at hand in the new solar system to build up fuel and ore reserves, and you'll use those reserves to construct colonies and spaceships to help you tame the planet.
