The Bobby Labonte Foundation invites bicyclists to saddle up for safety for a third year in a row. The foundation and its founder, NASCAR Sprint Cup Series champion Bobby Labonte, will host the third annual Archdale Drug "Share the Road" Memorial Bike Ride on Sunday, May 19, in Trinity, N.C. The memorial ride was born after two cyclists were killed while riding in the Charlotte and Greensboro, N.C., regions in 2010 and 2011. The Bobby Labonte Foundation is also using the memorial ride to further its mission to give back to children in need in the local community. The event will help support Communities In Schools of Randolph County Backpack Pals Program, which meets the needs of hungry elementary students by sending home a backpack of nutritious, non-perishable, child-friendly food each Friday. Riders, spectators and fans will be encouraged to bring an essential item such as canned meat items, juice boxes, cereal bars, fruit cups, crackers and pudding cups to donate to the program.

I have paid for a team of 8, which will be officially known as the Clip In and Ride Cycling Team. The first 7 that commit to ride with me do not have to pay a entry fee. A huge team would be great and this is for a good cause, so after those 7 commitments are filled you will have to pay the $30 registration fee. I plan on doing the 70K route (42.92 miles). They also have a 50K and 100K route.
