39 mile Road Ride - Casual pace

As of now, the forecast for Saturday looks to be quite pleasant, so let's take a ride to East Bend and back.  There will be a couple of convenience stores that we will pass, but please still bring plenty of fluids and a snack.

This route will provide a mixture of flats, rolling terrain and a few hills so a nice variety to pedal through :). This is a NO drop ride. Plan on a 14-15 mph average casual pace. We will STOP and regroup at stop signs. Any faster riders wanting to go ahead can do so but are responsible for knowing the route.  I will have cue sheets available.

Good ride, a little cooler expected but no one can control that. Nice meeting new folks. Carolyn, thanks so much for all you do to organize these rides. It's worth the hour's drive

Yes the weather wasn't quite as predicted early on, but it still was a great ride with a fun bunch today. Good mixture of flats, rolling and yes, some hills! Alot of new faces and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves and I look forward to seeing you all at another ride soon!

Carolyn, thank you for the route back at mile 10, I ended with almost 25 miles. Maybe I will be off work next time.

Absolutely Tom..I was not sure how many miles that would get you..but since you were riding back solo, I wanted to direct you to more of a straight shot back with very few turns. Look forward to seeing you again!

Very enjoyable ride today. It's always fun to ride with friends. I also enjoyed meeting some new people. Welcome to the "clip Inians. (Thanks, Jim for that designation. I think it will work). It was good to get in some hills that made us sweat a bit!

It was a little more cool and damp than what the forecast called for. But it was great to meet more Clip Inians and ride with them and the rest of the regulars who braved the the elements.

I am going to have to rework the route..They are re-paving Courtney Huntsville Rd and we were coming back that way..I will still keep this ride in the 35-40 mile range..

What a beautiful weekend ahead so it looks like we will have a great day to ride. For those of you new to our group..we do not leave anyone behind..this will not be a race..I encourage whoever feels lead, to take turns pulling AND be prepared to enjoy yourselves and make new friends!
