Loved the impromptu talks! Thanks for coming everyone, and Thanks to Dann for conducting an awesome agenda/brainstorming session re: upcoming meetups and directions! Looking forward to the next meetup already! :)

Great start. Great bunch of people. Some of the heating fans made it a little difficult to hear at times but otherwise a nice venue.

    Hi folks!

I was talking with a few friends about jump starting the local Clojure community, and one of them sent me a link to this group where you're doing the same thing! I've booked Bento Miso for next Tuesday at 6:30. If that time works for you then let's all get together and figure out what everyone is interested it: I'm up for hosting hack nights, speaker nights, pair programming sessions, and community outreach projects to bring more people into the Clojure world. It looks like this meetup is perhaps more focused on the social side, and I'd love to hear those ideas too (and possibly play host to them, if you like the space).

    See you soon! https://bentomiso.com/events/clojure-committee

Yes, it definitely is free. I've got nothing against paid events if there's a reason, but as much as possible I keep everything I host free, open, and welcoming. Miso provides coffee and tea; BYOsnacks.

Since we have about 7 RSVP's let's decide on a place for a first meet n greet and maybe we can decide on an actual event?

I'm think a bar. With Beer. Downtown. Toronto.

A GitHub-style 'drink-up'? I'm open on Friday evenings, if weather permits. Or a Saturday lunch-type thing.

I'm not sure what a "github style" is but as long as it's a "drink-up" I'm game :) ... also friday evenings are good with me too.

If this happens, and I can make it, I might actually have a (slightly humorous) talk to present....

Yawar, if you RSVP to the invite, it will be announced to the group. We can figure out where to do the talk if there is enough interest?

Ah, I thought I had RSVP'd thanks to the 'Yes' button being bright red and the 'No' button being grayed out. Looks like an early sign of regressing to a computer n00b.
