We're meeting a week earlier than usual this month to avoid the conflict with Clojure West.

Derek Anderson is going to talk about designing a Clojure Library to communicate over WebSockets with channels.

"I'm going to start with the problem of "I need to communicate over WebSockets" and walk through the questions I asked and eventually the decisions I made for how it should be implemented, ending with looking at actual code. I intend for it to be an interactive presentation; I'm going to ask attendees what assumptions are being made at each point and evaluate them."

Depending on time we'll also probably do a group programming exercise. Suggestions are welcome.

Clojure DC is welcoming to developers at any level. No previous experience with Clojure is needed. We are always looking for speakers. Please contact the organizers if you're interested in contributing or have an idea for a future meetup.
