Hi, I moved to Vancouver a year ago and am looking for fellow musically oriented people - jobs by day, rock stars for a weekend afternoon. I have played, jammed and performed in various bands over the years with friends, co-workers/corporate bands for charity events, dingy rehearsal halls, basements, etc. I started off as a guitar player like many ambitious teenage boys; however, have become a jack of all trades over the years including bass, lead vocals (limited range), drums, keyboards and even foot controlled keyboards (midi controller). To give you a sense of the level I am at and the stuff I prefer to tackle, I was in a trio playing cover tunes by the Police, Rush, Pink Floyd, Raconteurs, AC/DC, Led Zeppelin, Trews, Franz Ferdinand, Black Sabbath. From the all out fun to the all out complex. If any of this interests you, let's get a group going. Then we will choose some songs to tackle and always the "scheduling" element. Please sign up with: 1) preferred instrument, 2) bands you love, 3) level of ability (no beginners please) I will be researching plug-in-and-play rehearsal halls in the meantime. The rules - you can be late (not chronic), egos must be checked at the door, and no #ssholes allowed.
