Our November talk will be: Using Cloud Orchestration and Configuration Management to deploy your cloud environment. Our speaker will be, Chris Coffey, with Rackspace.
Chris will give an overview of various third party orchestration and configuration management tools, such as Terraform and Ansible. He will also discuss building out clouds using vendor specific orchestration tools such as Cloudformations for AWS and HEAT for OpenStack.
Chris will provide demo’s of building cloud environments using these various tools on multiple clouds providers and talk about the some of the trade off’s of various options.
Speaker Bio: Chris Coffey has spent 20+ years as Linux engineer and has worked exclusively building clouds since 2010. Including working on The Rackspace Cloud, AWS, as well as several others.
