Data Science Hackathon with UT Austin | Mosquito Transmitted Viruses

Data Science Hackathon with UT Austin | Mosquito Transmitted Viruses

Details

The hackathon will focus on reducing mosquito borne virus infections by analyzing data on water, mapping mosquito travel, and historical virus analysis.

We will also explore the Waller Creek environmental impact data sets, going beyond the initial research UT students performed which you can read here (http://utw10030.utweb.utexas.edu/wordpress/2015/08/) to identify factors for mosquito growth.

A stretch goal of the hackathon is to create a mobile app for data collection. Researchers as well as real field data collection can benefit from an app to easily collect data from water samples, mosquito counts to negative/positive test results.
