This Cincinnati-based group was started for women who struggle with clutter.  We struggle for different reasons - some who feel a need to keep everything in case we "might need it someday", some who just "don't have time" to deal with getting organized so we procrastinate, and some who may have spouses or partners who can't or won't throw anything away and actively resist our efforts to de-junk the house.

Whatever your reason, let's talk about solutions!  Let's share ideas on how to get organized, and STAY organized... how to gently nudge a partner into a spirit of cooperation and support for our efforts.

Maybe you dream of selling your home and moving somewhere else, but you can't because you feel overwhelmed at the prospect of even trying to get your house cleaned and organized enough to be put on the market.  Clutter keep us from being free, and decreases our quality of life.

I have heard it said that a disorganized and cluttered home can be the source of many other problems.  When we are surrounded by chaos in our physical environment, we tend to be more anxious, depressed, and feel out of control.  We may pay bills late (because they get lost or overlooked in the mess), overeat as a coping mechanism, feel like bad parents, and never seem to have enough time to enjoy the positive things we would like to spend time on.  I believe that tackling clutter will simplify our lives, and allow us to have a much better quality of life.

Sometimes it's easier to overcome our challenges if we have support - others who understand our situation and won't judge us, but will gently and consistently help us de-junk and get organized.

My vision for this group is that our "meetups" will sometimes be at a neutral venue (restaurant, meeting room, etc.) where we can discuss our challenges, ideas for de-junking and getting organized, what works, what doesn't.  Other times (once we have a core group who has gotten acquainted and feels comfortable together) we can meet at someone's house and do some hands-on work.

Feel free to e-mail me with questions and comments.
