Hosted by Keith Rome, this will start with a short presentation on how to create models that can be successfully printed, followed by an instructional session that covers the core features of the OpenSCAD modelling tool and how to use them effectively. Afterwards, I will stick around for a lab session where we can practice the skills on our own design projects as a group.
To get the most out of the lab portion, you probably will want to bring your own laptop and download / install the latest build from http://www.openscad.org beforehand - be sure to get the latest "development snapshot" as they have recently fixed a performance bug that makes OpenSCAD painfully slow in earlier versions
