We are in a computer lab on the top floor of the South Wing. Park anywhere on the grounds. Pretty sure the doors on the ground floor of east wing will lead to stairs.

If you see someone wandering around aimlessly, join them and look for more people. Hopefully critical mass will occur and someone will know where they are going.

We have talked for a long time about getting the "Rookie Nook" going, and this is an attempt to kick things off.

The goal for the first meetup is to be able to create a "Hello World" type android application and get it onto a device. Ideally, people should bring a laptop, their phone or tablet, and a cable to connect them. We will help people get the android development environment onto their machines and running.

Google have recently announced that the new supported IDE is based on IntelliJ rather than the existing Eclipse platform.

We will also attempt to use PhoneGap with the development environment to get a hello world phone gap type app onto the phone for those interested in using PhoneGap.
