We'll be using their 2nd floor workspace – so it'll be a much better meetup environment than trying to fit into a busy cafe.

Couldn't make it last night but I have an idea for a civic project. It might be possible to use or extend the existing OS 'Adopt A ...' app for this but I just heard a story on NPR about problems with dead-beat Adopt a Highway organizations; i.e. groups adopt a highway then never clean it.
Seems like it might be useful to build an app that maps the adopted highways, allows reports on each section's status ( e.g. needs cleaning, recently cleaned, etc) to be submitted by citizens or the groups themselves. This would provide public accountability to the adopting groups and maybe help keep or roads cleaner.
Thoughts?

Awesome, that's a good idea!. I'll be working on tools for importing/exporting data to/from SeattleWiki.net, a LocalWiki site. So far CfS folks have created a ruby client (https://github.com/cod...) and a node.js client (https://github.com/cod...) for the LocalWiki api. The goal for this work is to make it easier for folks to seed a new LocalWiki site with content, and to create apps based on content in a LocalWiki site. FYI for people thinking about what to do, the field is wide open. I started playing with the SeattleWiki API, thinking about something I could do with the photos. I ended up coming up with a content hack instead of a code hack...
