CodeAcross 2014

Details
International Open Data Day (http://opendataday.org/) is Saturday, Feb 22, 2014, and Code for America (http://codeforamerica.org/) is helping to plan CodeAcross (http://www.codeforamerica.org/codeacross-2014/) events on that day.
We are planning two events for the weekend:
• Public introduction of tulsaopenwireless.org (http://tulsaopenwireless.org/) - a local effort of the Open Wireless Movement (https://openwireless.org/) to:
-
Collect and publish data about Tulsa's WiFi networks
-
Promote open wireless to Tulsa WiFi operators
Open broadband access to the internet helps "to bridge the digital divide, improve access to education and healthcare services, and boost economic development for communities held back by limited or no access to broadband." -NTIA Broadband USA (http://www2.ntia.doc.gov/about)
• Combined service hackathon with TU ACM (http://orgs.utulsa.edu/acm/) - specifically for coders and programmers to start or continue work on civic app projectsPLEASE REGISTER HERE (https://docs.google.com/forms/d/1eAJy5v-q836JzlUeZK5Qk4oAvaQtzijz2MUJJm24zaw/viewform) SO TU KNOWS HOW MANY TO EXPECT!
For those attending the TU hackathon, here is a map of TU campus (http://resources.utulsa.edu/display/map/images/campus-map-july2012-919x1421.jpg). 61 is the Mayo SAC and we need everyone to park in the Westby lot, which is in the north part of the Tucker Drive loop, right above 13. If that fills up, the last row of Delaware lot is also visitor parking.
