Class Overview:

Learn HTML, CSS and Photoshop and in 6 classes be on your way to becoming a professional web designer.

Our beginner workshops in April covered the basics (width, height, background-color, float, clearing the floats, centering the webpage design and creating the top and bottom portions of a website (header & footer)).

This follow up workshop will expand on your learning and cover...

  • A quick review of HTML/CSS 101

  • How to add and style images to the design we created in our first class

  • How to use margin and padding (used to move objects & text around in a box).

  • The use of the p tag for text and how to style the text (font-size, weight, style & others).

  • Creating links using the html "a" tag

  • Creating a menu navigation for your website using the html tags ul and li

  • Website challenge: Take all you learned and apply it to build out a design I'll have posted.

  • The basics of Photoshop in regards to coding a design document created in Photoshop. You will need to have downloaded and installed the free trial of Photoshop from Adobe. Please note the download/installation will take sometime.

Parking is free and the cost of the class is $10 to $20; pay whichever amount you feel is just.

I'm looking forward in meeting up and expanding your web coding skills!

cheers,

ryan
