One of the first things Ariel Moskovich, AppsFlyer's Lead DevOps, implemented in the production environment was service discovery. It was obvious the one needed, but choosing Consul made all the difference. Consul is an open source project (https://github.com/hashicorp/consul)used for service discovery, monitoring and configuration, which is how we use it at AppsFlyer.

Application Developers, DevOps developers and other infrastructure fans, you are invited to come over, bring your device and start using the new generation of service discovery tools. This is an opportunity to see how we are using it, and get some hands-on experience with Consul.
