General Description

We are an exclusive group comprised of young professionals, advanced volleyball players who want to be physically active by playing competitive, yet fun and exciting volleyball games. Some of us have been playing with each other for over three-four years and have established an amazing dynamic. We are looking for advanced or high intermediate volleyball players who have positive attitudes, are good sports, collaborate well with others and people who are laid back in the sense that their main priority is to enjoy the game and not to complain about trivial issues. If you are a carefree and upbeat advanced player who wants to meet new and interesting people, and have some laughs in the process, you will have a great time here. Besides volleyball games, we also have a couple of socials throughout the season so we can get to know each other off the field and to continue the good times and friendly banter in another setting. This group is a great way to meet people!

We play on weekends, roughly 3-4x per month from April to October.

Level of Play - Very Important

The level of play is only high intermediate/advanced so please only join if you have been playing the sport for a while, know the rules of the game and are adept in all areas (bumping, setting and spiking). We only do three hits before passing the ball to the other side. Maintaining an intermediate level makes it fun for everybody involved. Feel free to invite friends, but please make sure they are intermediate players. Thank you.

Here is a general established definition from a volleyball organization:

“Any player who consistently displays advanced ability in either offensive skills (spiking, serving, setting) or defensive skills (passing, digging, blocking) to compete as a specialist and has sufficient ability to execute the dynamics of power volleyball. This player has begun to master the use of power and shots and is beginning to handle pace, has sound footwork, can control depth of shots, and is beginning to vary game plan according to opponents.”

Cost

The cost for a 2.5 -3 hr. session is $5.00, which covers meetup fees, equipment, organizational duties and a host of other things and can be paid in person, please bring exact change.. There are usually two sessions - morning and afternoon, each session is $5.
