PHP Roundtable

Details
Come expand your knowledge of PHP and share your experience with other programmers!
This roundtable meetup moves beyond the simple presentation format to tap into the group's knowledge and to encourage networking. There'll be three short presentations on current topics in PHP development, each followed by a discussion period for participants to ask questions, share their own experience and offer their own perspective on the subject. Afterwards, we'll break for socializing and general discussion.
This month's featured topics and presenters: • Resources for improving code quality by Simon South. Discover several popular resources that gather together best practices for PHP (and share your own with the group!).
• Managing developers' to-do items by Lucian Mustatea. See how Lucian uses features of his PHP code editor and other tools to manage small teams of developers.
• Caching for high performance by Don Parakin. Learn how caching can speed up a website and how you can take advantage of it in your own Web apps.

Special thanks to ylab (http://ylab.ca/) for helping us arrange our meeting space this month.
As they say, "You don't know what you don't know", and the PHP ecosystem is so vast it's easy to become comfortable with just a small part of it. By sharing our ideas and experience we can all learn and grow as developers.
If you have a topic of interest to PHP programmers you'd like to present at a future meetup, please let us know (simon@simonsouth.com)!
