Outside of some well-known areas (loop, museum campus, navy pier), I never got a chance to explore the city when I was younger. Now, I've been here a few months, and my knowledge of neighborhoods is extremely limited. I like the area I'm in, which is University Village/Greektown/Little Italy. However, I am excited to explore new areas of the city.
I live and have my car on campus, so anywhere I could drive and have free/cheap parking would be preferred. If there's no parking and it's far away, it might take way too long via public transit to be reasonable.
I sadly haven't been able to explore the options yet! It got cold way too soon it seems after I moved here, and I didn't have anyone willing to explore with me at first.
I wouldn't rule it out, but I don't know much about the city as of yet.
Hi, I recently moved to Chicago for school. I grew up in the suburbs, but have spent the last 8 1/2 years of my life in a rural area on the other side of the state. I'm extremely excited to be back near the big city and to explore the coffee shops!
