Saturday Afternoon CHWG @ Taco Factory South

PLEASE BE AWARE OF THE NEW VENUE !!

What a GREAT WAY to start your Saturday !!

Great Food !! Awesome People !! AND AMAZING STORIES !!

Our home for CHWG is the Taco Factory South in San Dimas ! Tacos and writing ! Who Knew ?

I'm Christine Marie, the founder of Coffee House Writer's Group, welcome! Saturday mornings, I work, so I will be there closer to 11:30am but please feel free to come any time between 11am and 12pm for social time and to grab a bite to eat! There will be a sign up sheet if you wish to share. We read in the order of the sign up sheet.

There is no time limit on reading. We just ask that you watch your time and be respectful of other writers wanting to read. If there are more members attending, the time reading might be shorter then if there are fewer members attending. Everyone is encourage to read & join in with the feedback. Please just take home with you the feedback that works for you and leave what doesn't at the table. The feedback and critiques should never prompt debates, this is not about "right verses wrong," just about simple advice that the writer can choose to accept or not. Everyone here in the group is here to help you grow as a writer and inspire you to write!

We like to think of our group as a PG13 group, (maybe borderline rated R). Anything considered above rated X material, you are more then welcome to bring copies to see if other members wouldn't mind reading it to themselves. We do not read rated X material out loud as we are in a public place.  Your cooperation is much appreciated.

Mission Statement

This Writer's Group is committed to motivating aspiring writers. Together, we provide the encouragement and inspiration needed to finish those writing projects that are collecting dust on the shelf. In the meetings we share our works and give positive influence & direction to each other, so that we all can find what is needed within ourselves to complete our writing goals.

Can't wait to see you and hear your stories!

Time really does seem to fly there. I don't know what it is we do that takes so long but it doesn't feel like four hours by the time we leave. At least, not to me. Anyway, they continued to allow me to continue reading my friend's work (yeah, I know...it sounds confusing to me too) which is just so decent of them. Plus they give really good feedback!

I'm sure she'll be delighted to hear that although I think it's hard because reading her story gives me a crutch not to work on my own lol.
