Reporting Off Apache Cassandra with JasperSoft

  • Jun 26, 2013 · 6:30 PM

Hello Colorado Cassandra Users,

For this meetup, Steve Park and Pete Knast from Jaspersoft have offered to present! They'll be doing an intro to JasperSoft/JasperReports and demonstrating how to report off Apache Cassandra.

Jaspersoft Presentation Abstract (40 minutes)

We live in a world that competes on time and information, yet a significant blocking factor is fast and easy access to this information. We spent $34B in 2012 on BI tools – making this the #1 priority for CIOs, yet only 25% of information workers are using BI software according to Gartner and other leading analysts. This sets the stage for a new paradigm in BI: improved timely access to information through The Intelligence Inside. In this informative session we'll explain The Intelligence Inside and what it means for applications and organizations. We'll further our discussion by describing the vision for Jaspersoft and how its software enables millions of people to make decisions every day with timely actionable data inside their applications and business processes.

some one had asked about using custom Markers on google maps in Jasper at the meeting. I think this might help.

the demo was not really wasn't for this group and got flustered as the group took the presenter off script. leaving the group with a sub-par demo of what jasper can do.

Sincerest apologies Mike. This presentation was supposed to incorporate Apache Cassandra into the mix and educate on how to use Apache Cassandra with JasperSoft. A more thorough inspection into presentation materials for upcoming meetups will ensue. Thank you for your understanding.
