Central City Scouting Trip

I plan on going up and hitting the trails in Central City. I am fairly confident there will be plenty of riding to be had with only a few trails still snowed in. There is plenty of parking at the Cemetery about a mile W of Central City. Should be a great ride.

Directions depend on what way you come in to Central City. If you take the Central City Parkway off of I-70 once you drop down into Central City you will want to merge onto Spring St when you hit the first stop sign upon arriving in to town (Its the only way you can go as main street is a One Way) You will follow that and you will go underneath a small people bridge (going between casinos) and come to another stop sign. Hang a Left this is Lawrence Street. Keep heading up the hill. Lawrence Street will become Eureka St. (If you are coming in from Highway 119 coming from Blackhawk you will already be on Laurence Street upon hitting Central City) Eureka Street will become Upper Apex Road and you will hit a junction after the road turns to dirt and you will see the Cemetery. We will do lunch on the trail. Bring plenty of water, this will be about a 40-50 mile ride conditions permitting.
