What could be a better activity for Introverts than Meditation?

Whether you're an old pro at meditation, or you've never tried it before but always wanted to, then this is the Meetup for you! This event will be hosted at the serene and peaceful (and Air Conditioned!) Mayu Meditation Sanctuary on Old Pearl Street.

All supplies, cushions, benches, chairs and any other props to help you be comfortable will be provided, and you don't need to bring anything but yourself.

This private one hour Meditation session, solely for our group, will be divided into two parts:

-The first 10-15 minutes will be hosted by Scott Brukman of Narada Wellness (who also happens to be the Organizer :) and will entail a bit of yogic breath work (pranayama) and sound meditation utilizing Tibetan Singing Bowls, Gongs and Chimes. The singing bowls are handmade of 7 precious metals and imported from Tibet. They are played like an instrument, and used to settle the mind and energize the Chakras. If you've never heard Singing Bowls before, you're in for a treat!

-The remaining 45 minutes or so will be guided Meditation appropriate for all levels led by the owner of Mayu Sanctuary, Cierra Imig. Cierra has decades of experience, and provides an amazing experience for both seasoned practitioners and first-time meditators. She leads a wonderful session which includes breath and body-centered awareness, touching into the different ways to experience thinking processes, and exploring the mind-body connection. Her meditation classes are informal, yet informative, focusing heavily on teaching students to trust their intuitive wisdom.

A session such as this normally runs $15 or more, but we are getting a special and amazing rate just for us! (thank you Cierra!)

Space is limited, so RSVP now! Payment of $8 in cash due at the door.
