Socrates Cafe at DU is open to everyone, students, faculty, alumni, and everyone else who is looking for a good discussion. RSVP is optional, walk-ins are welcome.

We are usually in current periodicals in the Anderson Academic Commons, we like it there because of the comfortable chairs, but if you can't find us ask at front desk.

Very casual group, no special preparation for the discussion, we are interested in what you have to say, and we hope you'll join us.

There is no pre-announced topic, the group decides at the start of each meeting what to talk about for the evening.

There is no reading assignment; reading informs our own thinking, of course, but we share our own thinking, not the thinking someone else has written down and that we just quote.

If this or anything else isn't clear or doesn't feel comfortable to you, please let us know now or at the meeting, we work hard at making newcomers feel welcome.
