About us
Colorado Springs Cycling (CSC) is a non-profit organization founded in 1987 to provide a variety of bicycling activities. We have weekly rides, annual rides, member meetings with educational topics and parties, and training. For non-club rides such as Elephant Rock, we use Meetup to let our members know who is planning to attend so they can carpool and possibly ride together.
If you are not yet a member of CSC, we invite you to join us for one ride. If you have a good time and want to ride with us more, you can visit our website to join the club. Annual dues are $30 for an individual or $50 for a family.

The Sunday Social Ride is a casual (8 - 12 mph), no-drop ride with catch-up points along the route. We will ride 10-20 miles depending on weather and road conditions. Unless noted, we will leave from Legacy Plaza off the I-25 and Centennial exit and ride in different directions each week.
Please arrive early enough to check your bikes ABCs (air, brakes, chain) so we can roll out on time. Helmets must be worn whenever you are riding the bike.
If you plan to ride, please RSVP to let the ride leader and others know you will be there.
NOTE: With uncertain weather patterns, this ride may become a “show-n-go.” The leader will update the Meetup event as soon as possible. The group that does show agrees where to go together. We will ride 25-40 miles (maybe more or less) depending on weather and surface conditions. Each ride will start at a different location.
In order to participate in this event you must read the following in its entirety, read all updates posted in the comments thread, and respond promptly to all direct messages from the ride leader. You must also examine the route via the link for details on distance, surface and elevation profile.
A gravel, cyclocross, or mountain bike would be appropriate for this ride. This is a no drop ride but you must have done this distance before, or something close to it, and be confident that you can finish the ride. If you need to turn around or if you ride off the front, then getting back is your responsibility and at your own risk. Cell phone service can be poor or nonexistent in some areas. You should not take the lead and push the pace or split the group without consulting the ride leader.
We will share the trails and roads with other riders and users. We will not buzz or bomb other users. We will not engage in risky behavior that could harm ourselves or other people. We will follow all traffic laws and yield the right of way where appropriate. We will not antagonize other road or trail users.
Please arrive early enough to check your bikes ABC’s (air, brakes, chain) so we can roll out on time. You must bring a tire repair kit and spare tube to change a flat. Also a multi tool should be considered. It is your responsibility to have a working bike, dress appropriately for the weather, remain hydrated and to consume enough calories. Helmets must be worn whenever you are riding the bike.
NOTE: With uncertain weather patterns, this ride may become a “show-n-go”. The leader will update the Meetup event as soon as possible. The group that does show agrees where to go together. Be prepared with a sign-sheet. Instructions for where to send it after the ride are at the bottom of the first page.
