Garlic Fest!

Note:  Go when you can.  I will be there after 1PM.

Join us for this Pikes Peak Urban Gardens fundraiser.  Pikes Peak Urban Gardens builds garden beds for residents in low income neighborhoods and teaches people all over town how to garden in our challenging climate.

I also happen to know there will be vendors with gourmet marshmallows, handmade soap and possibly even handmade deodorant!

CS Local Foods Meetup member Deepa D. will be leading this meetup for us.  Look for her at the event.  She'll have a sign.

Note to attendees: Deepa was going to host, but she had something come up and will not be able to make it. Please go when you can, but if you prefer to go with a group, look for me after 1PM. I work for the Farm and Art Market and won't be able to leave until we've cleaned everything up.

Feel free to send me an email at [masked] if you're reluctant to go alone and would like to make plans to meet. Or join up with the Colorado Springs Urban Homestead Meetup. They are very friendly and will be there too.

Well, for one it's a fundraiser for Pikes Peak Urban Gardens. They build raised beds in low income neighborhoods and teach people how to garden. Also, it's not just vendors. Note that there are several free classes.

I agree, what's the deal with charging so much??

$10 seems rather steep just to have the opportunity to buy items at a fair.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
