Cross Denver Wayfarer Loop! (12.5 Miles)

Join us for a full day of walking all around, in and through some Denver's finest neighborhoods, business districts, parks, lakes and greenways!  This is a unique and fun 12.5 mile walking experience that will take us from WalkDenver's Better Block location in Jefferson Park to the heart of the platte river valley and into downtown Denver's 16th Street Mall.  We'll eventually circle around Cheesman Park and then finish by making our final turning point at beautiful Sloan's Lake on the West side of Denver.  This will truly be a diverse walking experience - we will see it all.  If you're new to Denver or have ever wanted to better understand the heart beat of the city, please join us.  There's really no better way to see than through walking it!

- Mileage: 12.5

**Payment & RSVP:  Please sign-up using our Square Up page by clicking here.  If you would prefer to pay cash or pay with a check, please email me at [masked]

- **NEW LIABILITY WAIVER: Visit the 'Files' section of the Walk2Connect page (located in the 'more' section) to download the Walk2Connect Liability Waiver form if you haven't already.  Please read, print and sign the Walk2Connect Liability Waiver form and bring it to the walk. - Thank you!

- Difficulty & Looping Back Early: Intermediate due to length - (NOTE: If you have concerns about your ability, please feel free to contact me at email address below.  You are also welcome to finish early and loop back to the starting point whenever you wish.  This trip is a clear loop and there are plenty of places to loop back if you only want to do a portion of the walk.)

- Terrain: (Urban/Residential/Greenway Path) All paved sidewalks and trails w/occasional gravel trail, alley and roadside. (optional grass and dirt as well)

- Schedule & Meeting Location: We will meet at 8:30AM at 2914 Coffee in the Jefferson Park neighborhood. We'll talk through Walk2Connect goals, answer any questions and to lightly warm up.  We will leave NO LATER than 8:45am.  We should be back to our starting location no later than 4:30pm.  Please plan to get there early if you are going to grab coffee.

- Parking: Plenty of parking around shopping center and residential streets.

- Pets & Families: Your pups and your whole family is WELCOME to join!  Please consider what they can handle in regards to mileage.  You are welcome to email me and work out a turning back point along the way to shorten your time with us.

- Weather: We are in the early Winter season, so please come prepared with enough layers and/or waterproof gear in case we do run into cooler weather or snow.  Our winter walks can be some of the most enjoyable walking experience so please don't let the temps deter you from joining us!

- Breaks, Lunch & Restroom: There will be several places to use the restroom along the way.  We will have a few places to stop and pick up lunch and we'll plan to sit and have a break for lunch just after looping around Cheesman Park.  You can of course plan to pack your own as well.  I will provide snacks for everyone.

- Cost: $10** Fee includes walking trip facilitation, snacks and printed route maps for everyone participating.  Walk2Connect is now a full-time social enterprise and we're excited about ALL of our walking opportunities.  Please sign-up for our emails and check back to our trip schedule on our main website for other walking trips on the calendar.

Consider Bringing:

- Comfortable socks & shoes (pref. NON cotton socks!)

- Light backpack w/water and snack foods (almonds, bars, fruit)

- Gloves, scarf, beanie

- Camera

- Sunglasses & Sunscreen (and hat if you wear them)

- Bring many (thinner) layers depending on anticipated temperature and light rain gear just in case.  I would avoid big/bulky winter coats as you will warm up once we walk and its way easier to shed/store light clothing.

These walks are very informal and give us all unique opportunities to connect with one another, ourselves and our surroundings.

Feel free to contact me at if you have any questions: [masked]
