Dear Creatives, Freelancers, Boot-Strappers, & Digital Work-From-Home Types Near South Seattle,

Are you tired of the daily choice between social isolation and latte overdose?

Me too.

If we choose to, we can create our own (non-corporate) work culture here in South Seattle and reap the many benefits of connection and community. Some of these benefits include: opportunities for collaboration, inspiration, lunch companions, built in test audience, group support for your business or creative endeavor, and the chance to take workshops and home courses as a group at a steep discount.

I can't get too much in detail about what the community will be like because we haven't created it yet. What is it you need? Gourmet coffee? Gardening breaks? An Introvert Room?  Dog-friendly environment? On-site pilates? Do you want the space to be open once a week or every day?

Other parts of Seattle already have great coworking and collaborative spaces, but most options are expensive (>$200 a month) and some involve a lengthy commute. Let's get together, share our ideas, and create a space that fits the unique needs of our community.

It is possible--and vital--to respect both our need to get work done AND our daily need to be social.

"This looks interesting. I'm going to check it out. About this meetup group, or any group for work-at-home types, I would love to connect. Going stir crazy. A weekly or even more often get together would be great. Mary"

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
