Greeetings, all you raw foodists! We're almost off to Colorado for the holiday. We'll be back on December 30. I want to wish you all the happiest of holidays----eat what's best for you, enjoy your good health, and start 2009 in great shape!
I should have mentioned this before now, but, as those of you who were at the December Potluck know, we're going to have to pay $25. every time we use the Cambridge Place Clubhouse. Trust me---I went round and round with the neighbors and the board about it, and we still must pay for the cleaning, heat, etc. when we use the facility. We did agree to use it again for the January 4th meeting. One or two members had a couple of ideas to pursue, and we'll discuss options more thoroughly when we meet. A couple of us are pretty comfortable where we are--it really is a nice facility--perfect for our needs, really. If we have a dozen for dinner, that's roughly $2./person, which may be manageable. We'll see. If we have folks coming for the first time in January, I really don't want to assess them....that hardly seems fair, especially since they may be just "checking us out". The other little expense is the meetup site, which you all have been contributing to. That is a much more minor expense, more like a dollar a month from 12 raw foodists each month. I just want you to have the facts before you. We can certainly have picnics when the weather is nice. Melissa says that she can host us when the crowd is smaller than 10 people. Lisa is talking with Cafe Berlin to see what they might have to offer us.
We'll talk about it in January. Meanwhile....do have a very happy Christmas...enjoy the people and things you care most about....and I'll see you in January. Don't forget to RSVP on the calendar!!
